Penguin Palace September Blog Hop

Hello and Happy Wednesday! Welcome to our September Blog Hop! This hop is super special to us because this is Penguin Palace’s first-ever Blog Hop! We are celebrating this day with a Giveaway, and a group of talented artists will be joining me to bring you lots of inspirations featuring fabulous products from our Fall 2020 New Release!

Today’s hop starts right here on the PP blog! I’ve prepared for you two very different cards. The first one is created with the Floral Wreath Stencils 360°™.

This new stencil combined with our new tool Stencils 360°™, makes this wreath super easy to build. I used a turning interval of 45° and blended a combination of Hickory Smoke, Blueprint Sketch, Squeezed Lemonade and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide inks onto my 7″ x 7″ Essentials – Smooth Bright White 100lb. Heavy Weight Cardstock.

Then I stamped a scripty sentiment from Words From The Heart (Chapter 1) using the Crown Me ink pad by Simon Hurley.

Then I used The Sandstone Series – Navy Seal – Premium Fine Paper and Splendorlux Argento – Heavy Weight Premium Cardstock and left two 1/8″ borders to formed my card base. I just love the elegant look this stencil gives.

My next card features the Scents of Fall Stencils 360°™. Combined with the Stencils 360°™, I blended Picked Raspberry, Hickory Smoke, Wilted Violet and Blueprint Sketch onto a piece of 4 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ Smooth Bright White 100lb. Heavy Weight Cardstock, at the recommended turning interval of 60°.

Then I die cut a bold sentiment with the You Are My Inspiration Shadow Dies, using The Sandstone Series – Cool Granite – Heavy Weight Premium Cardstock and The Sandstone Series – Navy Seal – Premium Fine Paper.

I then added an 1/8″ boarder using the same Navy Seal – Premium Fine Paper to match my sentiment shadow.

Both of these cards were super easy to make. With the new Stencils 360°™, I did not have to apply any masking in order to blend different colors on the stencil, which saves me a lot of time! I hope you’re inspired by my projects, please hop along to the next stops for more wonderful inspirations!

  5. This looks like a tool I could play with for some time. I wonder if there’s a way to make an insert to hold some of my square stencils and rotate them as well?

  8. Your card with the Floral Wreath Stencil is so pretty and delicate. From the beautiful flowers to the flowy sentiment, everything is delicate and fine.
The second card with the pine cones has a very nice sentiment. I also like the unusual colors for this time of year. I would’ve guessed the leaves would be the normal orange, red, yellow, and brown and not shades of purple.

    • I just realized that one of my login usernames is Melissa and the other one is Melissa M depending on what each person’s blog uses for commenting. I commented on all of the blogs, so hopefully it doesn’t cause a problem that I messed things up with my usernames.
