June Inspiration Week – Day 4

Hello and welcome to Penguin Palace’s June Inspiration Week – Day 4! If you’re just joining us, don’t forget to head over to our blog Giveaway Post from Wednesday or to our IG Giveaway Post where you can leave your comments for chances to win a Special Goodie Bag worth over $170CAD/$130USD!

Today we’ll be showcasing one more circular stencil from our latest 360° collection, the Plaid Floral Fun Stencils 360°! The set contains a 6″ stencil and a 4″ stencil.  Use these stencils together or separately. With these, you can create something truly unique by choosing different rotating intervals! There is no right or wrong, just let your creativity takes you to new grounds with this fun floral design.  There are just so many possibilities!

Today we are so honoured to have 3 Guest Designers sharing their inspirations with us. First up is Jessica, I’m sure you’re familiar with her amazing work. I am in love with this soft palette!

The sentiment is from the Unity and Friendship Quotes stamp set. I just love how these pastel colors come together flawlessly on the 6″ stencil! The rotation and overlapping of the stencil design create this gorgeous pattern that is truly one of a kind!

Next up we have Guest Designer Cheryl who created two cards for us today. Instead of using the 6″ stencil, Cheryl used only the small 4″ stencil for her first card.

She rotated the 4″ stencil at 15 degrees to achieve the pattern in the center, and 30 degrees for the rest of the offset patterns in the corners. See how the pattern becomes fuller as the angle of rotation gets smaller? She added the little girl from Rabbit Cafe as the focal point. She then stamped out more accessory images in matching colors to finish off the card. Love this look!

For her second card, she used the 6″ stencil as the background. While rotating her stencil, she also did some intentional masking to create a fun layered look for her design where the five colors are stacked on top of one another.

The cute kitties and sentiment are from the My BFF stamp set. I love the matching colors on the critters and the background!

Our final Guest Designer is Ilda from (I) (L)ove (D)oing (A)ll things crafty! Her first card is a bright rainbow hue shaker!

She used water-based inks that blended out the rainbow with the Plaid Floral Fun Stencils 360°™. For this card, she really took it to the next level! Instead of making reference to one of the scales on the 360° Base, she rotated it freehand to create this perfect rainbow flower with 11 rotations – super creative!

She then used different-sized circle dies to cut out the inner and outer circles and the card base to create this charming shaker card!

For her next card, she offset her canvas prior to commencing inking to blend the flowers in the corners.

To add centers to the flowers she used a couple of the clear stencils from The Mandalas Bundle Stencils 360°™.  I love the added glimmer paste for the extra sparkle!

She used the Thank you sentiment from the So Blessed set to heat emboss on vellum and wrapped it around the bottom half of the card, finishing it with a sub sentiment from the same stamp set.  I really love the soft look created with the vellum!

On both cards, she added some pearls for some extra detailing and pops of color.

Finally we have our Creative Team member Julie’s creation!

She ink blended and rotated the large stencil at a smaller interval to create lots of overlays. She then further blended with the smaller stencil in a darker color in the center. All these overlays make it look so intriguing!

The cute critter family is from the Inseparable stamp set and the sentiment was taken from Unity and Friendship Quotes!

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s inspirations! We have one more day of new inspirations tomorrow, and our Wrap Up and Winners Reveal is next Monday, so stay tuned!

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a lovely day!
