adorable cute street scene

An Interactive Cinematic Shadow Box – A Busy Street Scene!

Hi! I hope all of you are having a great week! Today I am sharing one of the biggest shadow scene I’ve ever made! This card is themed around a busy street with lots of fun elements!

I used the Cinematic Shadow Box stand alone die cut to create the backbone of my card. You can have up to 4 tabs in this shadow box which gives great dimension and lots of room to fit ample stamped images!

I combined images from a bunch of different stamp sets including The Sweetest Truck, Rabbit Cafe, Happy Track and Field (Chapter 2), Fun Adventure, and Sweet Ride.

I thought why not take it to the next level and combine this shadow box with an interactive element! I used the Dotted Borders Slimline Pull Tab – Stand-Alone Die to make the Ice Cream truck move down this busy street!

Check out this card in action below!

I used the Sidewalk Scene Builder – Stand-Alone Die to die cut the two sidewalks on The Sandstone Series – Smokey Eyes – Heavyweight Premium Cardstock and then added splashes of paints. For the background wall, I blended Distress Oxide Inks on the Mega Blocks stencil and die cut it using the large dotted border die from the Cinematic Shadow Box.

I just love making these mini scenes on this shadow box! Acetate played a big part in the assembly of this card.

I used acetate for a couple of the tabs in the box so that the road background could show through. I added acetate to mimic the Ice Cream Truck’s windows. I also used it for placing the music notes that are coming from the ice-cream truck!

To keep everything in perspective, I laid out the images so that larger characters go near the front and smaller ones go at the back.

I stamped out a sentiment from The Sweetest Truck on the front tab of the box which I had trimmed down to show more of the sidewalk at the bottom.

I hope you enjoyed this inspiration and thank you so much for stopping by!

I love how Candice used the Fun Doodle Dividers stamp set to create her own background! Always a great alternative to using patterned paper!

She die cut and assembled the I Made You a Cake stand-alone die using cardstock from Prism Packs (Volume I) and (Volume II).

Stefanie’s Out of this World Birthday Card!

Hi everyone! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! We had a white Christmas over here in Vancouver and we all enjoyed it so very much!

Stefanie is back today sharing this simple yet charming birthday card with us!

This card uses the super cute stamp set “Let’s meet IRL.” The mischievous space dogs are colored with Copics on Kraft cardstock and die cut using its coordinating dies.

I love how she used the tiny stamps from the set to create this special patterned background for a fun card!

She then added the cute sentiment and a few big die-cut bold letters to finish off the card. Kraft cardstock can be a great choice if you’re looking to make a more masculine card! Thanks Stefanie for sharing this beautiful inspiration!

We wish you a prosperous and super happy 2020!

Karen is back today sharing with us to this super cute birthday card!

I love the unique composition of this card! She first cut a piece of Teal Sapphire cardstock with the Slimline Oriental Cover Die, trimmed it down and adhered it to an A2 card base.

She used one of the geometric stencils from the Spatial Concept Trip Stencils 360° to create a focal point for her card. I just love the rainbow colors!

I love how she further cut the design with a circle die for some added interest to the card!

She coloured some adorable images and a sentiment from the Let’s meet IRL stamp set and adhered them to the circular panel.

Then she added a few shimmery gems as a finishing touch.

Thank you so much Karen for sharing this delightful inspiration!
