Ashley’s Super Adorable Just Because Card!

Hi guys! Ashley’s card for today will sure light up someone’s day!

Ashely combined images from The Sweetest Truck, Fun Night Out and Happy Track and Field (Chapter 2) stamp sets!

I love the scene that she created here! For her background, she die cut a piece of light blue cardstock cut using the largest die from our Dots Meets Dashes Large Rectangle Overlay die (and also die cut with a cloud stitched cover die); together with a piece of light green cardstock as the grassy field.

I love that she had the little cub server inside the truck, and she put so many different desserts into the paws of the little critters! Aren’t they cute!?

Those bright and colorful images were elevated onto foam squares and arranged on the card front. The sentiments from The Sweetest Truck were stamped out onto strips of light green cardstock in black ink, while the word TRUCK was die cut with some alphabet die set out of yellow patterned paper!

I love how she further decorated her card with a bunch of music notes which gave this card an extra ounce of happiness!

This card is super adorable, thank you Ashley for your fun and happy inspiration!

Slimline Encouragement Card with Ashley Y.!

Ashley is back to share another beautiful creation of hers. This time she made for us a 9″ x 4″ slimline card using Happy Track & Field (Chapter 1), Happy Track & Field (Chapter 2) stamp sets and their coordinating dies.

She made a super gorgeous background using a combination of Distress Oxide Inks, namely lucky clover, shabby shutters, tumbled glass, and salty ocean.

I love the touch of liquid shimmer she splattered over the background. Her cute images were beautifully coloured using Copic markers. She added foam tape to some of the images to give the card a bit more dimension.

The images from Happy Track & Field (Chapter 1) coordinates so well with the images from the Chapter 2 stamp set. I love this scene where the group of children are cheering on the sideline for the little critters. This card looks so much fun!

She added the sentiment “I’ll always be your cheerleader” from one of the sets, and some multi-coloured gems to finish off her card. I love her choice of colours which matches so well with the colours she used on her images.

Fun Street Café Scene with Anja!

Hi Everyone! It’s the second day of Lunar new year and I want to show you a beautiful card that Anja made for us!

Anja made this slimline card using the Rabbit Café stamp set and its coordinating  Penguin Perfect Cuts.

She stamped out the all cute images and colored them in with my Spectrum Noir Illustrator. I love all the white gel pen detailing she added on her images.

I love how she stamped out three of the cafés and have different sweets put up as the signs of the café. So cute!

She blended her background beautifully with Distress Oxide Inks. I also like the two different golden colors from the Gansai Tambio Starry Colors that she splattered over the blended background.

Her characters in the foreground were adhered with foam tape to create some dimension.

To finish off, she stamped the sentiment “COFFEE LOVER” with VersaMark and embossed it with gold embossing powder on a strip of cardstock that matches her card base. Head over to Anja’s blog for more details on how she made this gorgeous card!

Thank you Anja for this lovely inspiration! I love this cute scene so much!

Fun Interactive Pull-Tab Card with Davina!

Hi Everybody! It’s been a while! Hope all of our Penguin Palace fans are doing well! We’re so glad to announce that we have now officially relocated our shop base to Vancouver, Canada!

Today Davina has a clever interactive pull-tab card to share with us! And I’m sure you’re gonna love it!

This card is super fun because when you pull on the tab, the 7’s line up at the bottom for a winning JACKPOT!

Davina used the cute bear-themed slot machine from the Lucky Break stamp set and the Lucky Break Penguin Perfect Cuts which is perfectly customised for this stamp set.

She also used some adorable characters from the Fun Night Out stamp set. She copic-colored all of her images in shades of aqua, pink, peach, and violet. I love how she has light aqua colour on her card base and the pull tab to match the coloured slot machine. The gold polka dotted paper and the gold cardstock she chose also blend cohesively with the jackpot theme of the card.

She formed the pull-tab mechanism in a way that the 7s line up at the bottom when pulled! So clever! The big scripty word “YAY” and the touch of pink sequins gave the perfect finish to the card.

Please head over to Davina’s blog and see how she put this card together in details!

Thank you so much Davina, this has got to be one of my favourite cards of all time!

Thank you for stopping by, have a great day!

She stamped the cute train from the Love Train stamp set in black Copic-friendly ink, coloured them in with Copic markers and die cut them using the coordinating Penguin Perfect Cuts.
