She made a super gorgeous background using a combination of Distress Oxide Inks, namely lucky clover, shabby shutters, tumbled glass, and salty ocean.
I love the touch of liquid shimmer she splattered over the background. Her cute images were beautifully coloured using Copic markers. She added foam tape to some of the images to give the card a bit more dimension.
She added the sentiment “I’ll always be your cheerleader” from one of the sets, and some multi-coloured gems to finish off her card. I love her choice of colours which matches so well with the colours she used on her images.
The way Ashley formed the rainbow on her card is very unique. A strip of felt was adhered to the edge of a ruler, and a variety of rainbow-coloured alcohol pearl inks were dabbed onto the foam. The ruler was held as a handle to drag the foam along a piece of Yupo paper in an arched fashion, creating a rainbow of alcohol pearl ink colours on the paper.
I love how Ashley die-cut a circle of white cardstock and trimmed the bottom of it to align it with the bottom fo the card panel. The black sentiment “I’ll always be your cheerleader” on the white background pops up so nicely.
She finished off her card with some matching colours sequins. Check out Ashley’s video on our YouTube Channel to see how she created this card!
Thank you so much Ashley for your inspiration today! Thanks for stopping by, have a superb day!
For this card, she chose the polar bear doing the pole-vault as the main character which is so adorable! She also added the cheerleaders to cheer on this cute little bear! Looks like the bear is going to make the jump^^!
The blue sky is beautifully executed using Distress Oxides Inks in Broken China and Tumbled Glass. The grassy field was also blended with Distress Oxides in Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover for the added depth.
I love the splatter of bright green water color on the grass for the extra dimension, and the white gel pen details on the images. She then white heat-embossed sentiment “I will polar-vault to your heart” which finished off the card perfectly!
