I love the touch of gold accents she added behind the Christmas tree!
For my card below I started by spinning Stencil A at 15 degree interval, and followed by 22.5 degree intervals, using two different ink colors.
I then used Stencil B for inking and spun it at 30 degree intervals using a darker shade.
Finally I spun Stencil C at 30 degree intervals to add details to the center of the flower. I just love the depth that the combination of overlays create. The sentiment is from Heartfelt Notes.
Mediterranean style features bold designs emphasizing textures and unique color palettes. With these stencils, you can experiment with earthy tones like terracotta, yellow, turquoise, or metallic in copper and gold. You just might find your new favourite ink color combo while playing with this stylish design!
By changing the turning interval of the stencil, I was able to create two very different designs for my cards.
I used a 45 and 30 degree intervals for the first and second card respectively. I wanted to choose color palettes that would accentuate the Mediterranean vibes.
I then popped these backgrounds onto bright vibrant back panels which complement these color palettes.
I clear heat embossed the sentiment in this card to make it stand out even more from the background.

I love the placement of the flower bouquets in opposite corners which compliments the scripty sentiment in the center perfectly!
I also love the combination of the white heat embossed images and water colors which brings a very elegant feel!
All of the images and sentiments were die cut using the coordinating Penguin Perfect Cuts in which you can find a large die that cuts out all of the sentiments strips at once – is a super time saver! The rounded corners on the sentiment strip also gives it a unique finishing touch.
Thank you so much Karen for your charming inspiration!
I hope you all had a great weekend! Today we’re super excited to have our talented Guest Designer, Ilda Dias sharing a duo of floral cards with us!
Ilda‘s cards features the Stencils 360° tool and the latest Centerpiece Stencils 360°. She started the inking process on a large canvas. She chose to use a different color on each of the flower cut outs on the stencil.
The final design is achieved in 3 rounds of inking (by rotating the stencil to every 4th circle on the scale, twice). This large canvas allows her to easily create two cards, an A2 size and a 5×5 square card, just by slicing it down near the middle!
This one below is the A2 size card. I just love the rainbow hue that she blended.
Below is the 5×5” square card. I love how the beautiful colors contrasting against the crisp black trims and sentiments!
