An Adorable Encouragement Card with Candice!

Hello everyone! Time certainly flies and tomorrow is the Lunar New Year! I’d like to wish everyone a healthy and prosperous year of the Tiger!

I have a very cute card to share today so let’s dive right in!

Candice created a beautiful background using the Sending Hugs & Kisses Stencils 360° with dye ink colors inspired by this month’s Penguin Palace Challenge

This Sending Hugs & Kisses Stencils 360° creates gorgeous backgrounds in very little time and it’s a great alternative to patterned paper!

She stamped the hugging kitties image from My BFF onto a heart and colored them using Copic markers.

I love how she die cut two hearts and placed them behind the kitties to create a focal point!

She also white heat embossed the sentiment and added some embellishments to finish off the card.

We love seeing your creations and would love for you to join us in this month’s challenge! All you have to do to enter is use the above color palette to create a project that features at least one Penguin Palace product as the focal point. Full challenge rules can be found here.

This month’s challenge runs until February 13th at 11:59 PDT. We’ll select a winner to receive a $25 CAD gift certificate to ppstamps.com which will be announced on February 15th at the beginning of our next challenge on ppstampschallenge.blog!

Don’t forget to link up your project below, and if you’re sharing to social media use the hashtag #penguinpalaceprojects! We’d also love for you to share your projects in the challenge album in our Penguin Palace Facebook group!

A Friendship Card Inspiration from Candice

Happy Friday crafty friends! I’d like to remind all that we are having our first ever Penguin Palace Challenge over on our PP Challenge Blog. Enter before 13th May for a chance to win a $25 Gift Certificate to our store!

Today Candice have for us a beautiful friendship card inspiration. She used the Twist-n-Pop Surprise Stand-Alone die to create this fun interactive card.

She created two mini-scenes on each of the rectangle die cut panels by stamping, masking, some of the adorable critters from the My BFF stamp set. She ink blended the background using Squeezed Lemonade, Kitsch Flamingo, and Milled Lavender Distress Oxide Inks, and then removed the masks to add some copic coloring.

She ink blended the side decorative panels with the same distress oxide inks. These colors match perfectly to this month’s Color Palette Inspiration for our Monthly Challenge!

To finish off, she added two tabs with sentiments from the My BFF stamp set. I love the white highlights she added to the stamped images to make them pop! The coolest thing is that this pop-up card folds flat and fits into a 6 x 6″ envelope for mailing!

Thank you so much for this super delightful inspiration Candice!

Now is your turn, don’t forget to upload your entry on our Challenge Blog and your social media by 13th May and hashtag using #penguinpalaceprojects!

Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful weekend!
