She kept her card clean and simple. I love the watercoloring job she did on her images, they are so bright and beautiful!
The elegant boarder details on this card panel was made using the Dots Meet Dashes Large Rectangle die cut. I just love how the white background makes those colorful images and the boarder detail stand out!
I adore the little star image that she added to the mermaid’s laptop, which is super cute! The clear round sequins added the perfect finishing touches to this CAS card! Thanks Jo for your lovely inspiration!

The ink blended background mimics the deep blue sea. The cute images are reminding its recipient to relax and take a break to recharge! I like how she added the champagne glass image from the set and put it into one of the mermaid’s hand!^.^
I love the white heat embossed sentiments on strips of black paper which are very eye-catchy.
Thank you Ali for your wonderful inspiration! This card definitely sends a great message!

Hi everyone, hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! And we at Penguin Palace are absolutely looking forward to the Year 2019!
You may have seen this interactive card on Instagram from Cassie a little while ago. Anyway, it is such a clever creation we thought we’d showcase it on our blog for you.
Cassie created this super adorable peek-a-boo card featuring a few of our mermaid clear stamp sets. The peek-a-boo card technique was inspired by Jennifer McGuire. The image inside the cut-out circle changes as the recipient opens the card! How cool! You may click here if you’d like to see how the bone of the card is put together.
For the front panel, I love how Cassie white heat embossed the “Sometimes it’s OK to do nothing” sentiment as it compliments so well with her choice of baby blue cardstock. She beautifully coloured the mermaid on treadmill from our Pretty Mermaid Planner clear stamp set, for showing through the cut-out circle.
When the recipient opens the card they see another message “Learn to RELAX, you deserve the best” and the cute relaxing mermaid enjoying a box of chocolates from our Take A Break clear stamp set. The change of the image just makes this card so much fun! I also think that this is the perfect sentiment to remind your loved ones to slow down, take a break and relax! Cassie also added some mini white embossed images including the star fish and sea shells from our Let’s Catch Up clear stamp set; and some dots accents using a white gel pen to give the card a nice finishing touch!
Thank you so much Cassie for sharing this amazing card with us! Stay close for more Mermaid inspiration chapters from our Design Team.
Thank you very much for visiting our blog. Have a great day!
